Vikas has worked for over fifteen years in the industry for fortune 500 companies such as Roche/ Genentech, Qualcomm, HP Labs, NVIDIA and MERL. on several machine learning and computer vision R&D projects and products. In academia, Vikas has been a researcher at multiple universities, as well as served as adjunct faculty for data science and machine learning courses. Vikas has published over 75 papers, and has been granted 15 patents.
Rishabh Mehrotra is an industry researcher, working as a senior research scientist at Spotify Research in London. Having completed his PhD in Machine Learning from University College London, he works on ML techniques used for recommendations in online marketplaces. He graduated from BITS in 2013 and has spent time at Microsoft Research during his PhD, besides working briefly at Goldman Sachs in 2013.
Anand Rao is currently Global Artificial Intelligence and Innovation Lead (Data & Analytics) & Partner, PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), USA. Previously, he had done his Ph.D. in the area of Artificial Intelligence from University of Sydney in 1988 and thereafter graduated with Distinction in MBA in Finance & Technology from Melbourne Business School, Australia in 1997.
Dr. Anand has also co-edited four books on Intelligent Agents and has published over fifty papers in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence in major journals, conferences, and workshops.
Aruna received her PhD from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst in 2011. She works on topics in the intersection of networking and systems with a focus on smartwatches and wearable devices. Some of her recent projects are MobileHub - reduces energy consumption of always-on sensing applications by leveraging heterogeneous hardware; FindAll - makes mobile applications less reliant on the cloud by building a local search engine on phones that lets users search locally.
Siddharth Nath works as a senior R&D software engineer in the development of AI-accelerated chip-design algorithms at Synopsys Inc., an American electronic design automation company. Having graduated from BITS Pilani in 2003 with BE in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, he completed his MS and PhD from the University of California, San Diego. His research fields include Integrated Circuit design management using tools like combinatorial optimization, mathematical programming and machine learning.
Mukesh Jain is the CTIO & Head of Data Technology for Insights and Data at Capgemini India. He has also worked in various leadership, managerial and consultant positions in leading companies like NICE, Jio, Microsoft, Atos, Syntel and Datamatics. He is actively working in the areas of AI, ML & Product Management. While working at Microsoft for 13 years – he engineered and managed large teams for products like Outlook, Hotmail, Bing, Advertising and Analytics. He is recipient of 3 Microsoft Gold Star awards and several Management awards.
Vidhi is pursuing a Masters of Science in Robotics (MSR) program at Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh. She is currently working in an intersection of vision, NLP and robotics for navigation by reinforcement learning and planning, employing her great expertise in deep learning models and application development.
Dr. Divyakant Agrawal is a Professor of Computer Science at the University of California at Santa Barbara. He has published approximately 300 research manuscripts in prestigious forums on topics related to database systems, distributed computing, data warehousing and large-scale information systems.
Dr. Ganesh Ananthanarayanan completed his PhD in Computer Science from UC Berkeley in 2013 soon after which he joined Microsoft. His current research is devoted to systems for large-scale data analytics (aka "big data"), video processing, and Internet performance.
