Presently the head of Data Science at Clustr, he has also worked as ML Scientist at Amazon. After completing his MS in Computer Science from BITS Pilani in 2006, he completed his Ph.D. from IIT Bombay in the field of Machine learning and its application to information extraction and retrieval. His research interests include Machine Learning and Data Science.
Currently an associate Professor at IIIT Hyderabad, he has been directing the robotics research there for the last 14 years. A B.E. (hons) and M.E. (EEE) graduate from BITS Pilani, he completed his Ph.D. from IIT Kanpur in the year 2001 in the field of Soft Computing Applications in Real-time Navigation of Mobile Robots. His research interests include Mobile robotics, Robotic Vision, Outdoor Navigation, Mechanism Design, and Multi-robotic Systems.
Currently working as a Data Scientist at Flipkart with the Search Ranking Team on Personalized Search, he completed his M.S. from Search and Information Extraction Lab, IIIT-Hyderabad. His research interests include Machine Learning, Information Retrieval, and Natural Language Processing. Having graduated from BITS with B.E. in Computer Science in the year 2014, he has done research internship at CLI and TRDDC.
